✍️ How to Write Impactful Feedback

DO:

• Use a clear, action-oriented title – e.g., “[SUGGESTION] Dark Mode for Mobile App” or “[FEEDBACK] Thread Search Needs Filters”.

• Describe what exists now, what you propose instead, and why it matters – connect your idea to member benefit.

• Provide examples – mockups, screenshots with annotations, or links to other platforms that do it well.

• Be specific – instead of “the site is slow,” say “the homepage takes 4+ seconds to load on Chrome version X.”

• Acknowledge trade-offs – consider implementation effort, cost, or potential downsides.

• Reply constructively when staff or members respond to your suggestion.

• Upvote or support others’ ideas that you agree with – we track collective interest.

DON’T:

• Post rants without actionable suggestions – criticism is most valuable when paired with a fix.

• Repeat the same suggestion in multiple threads – search first and add your voice to existing discussions.

• Demand immediate changes – we’re a team, and development takes time.

• Attack other members or staff personally – focus on ideas, not individuals.

Keep feedback honest and safe:

• Never share login credentials, payment info, or personal identification in feedback threads.

• Beware of fake “staff accounts” soliciting private suggestions via DM – all official feedback channels are public.

• Do not click on links claiming to be “beta versions” or “preview updates” sent by non-staff members.

• Report any user attempting to manipulate feedback (e.g., fake upvotes, coordinated negative campaigns).
